Process to become SPCA Certified
Where SPCA has a Standard in place, any business or farm that has animals under their care can request to be audited for compliance.

Business or farm show interest in getting SPCA Certified via the contact form

SPCA Certified and the potential member meet to discuss how their business or farm fits the SPCA Certified programme values

SPCA Certified carry out an initial assessment; this highlights any areas that are required to be lifted before a third party audit is undertaken

QCONZ audit the premise and assess whether the farm or business has passed the required standards to become SPCA Certified

Once a farm is SPCA Certified, members are able to brand their products with the SPCA Certified blue badge. If you are an SPCA Certified business, you can brand your SPCA Certified services.

Consumers choose to buy products or services with the SPCA Certified blue badge.

Other businesses and farmers are encourage to become SPCA Certified and the bar is raised for both farmed animals and those in the pet care sector
